Suggesting a correction: make PAVI clearer without an argument
A useful correction names one fact, a proposed replacement and the evidence behind it.

If a provider's details have changed, a precise correction helps the reviewer understand what should be checked. It is different from a service complaint, emergency contact or request for a booking. Use PAVI's profile correction route to send factual information, keeping unrelated medical records and household details out of the submission.
Before you begin
- For urgent animal care, contact a veterinary provider directly.
- Submitting a correction does not immediately change the public profile.
01Identify the page and the branch
Start from the correction action associated with the relevant Care Map profile, or open the correction section on the partners page. Check that the profile being discussed is the intended branch or network.
Include its name and page address in your note. A message saying the phone number is wrong without identifying the record leaves the reviewer unable to distinguish similarly named branches.
02State the exact replacement
Name the field, what it currently says and what you propose instead. If you only know the existing value is uncertain, say that rather than inventing a new one.
For example: this branch's listed phone conflicts with its official contact page; proposed number __; source __. Keep a quality opinion or disagreement about a bill separate from a factual contact correction.
03Supply evidence with context
Provide a relevant public source URL and the date you checked it. Explain whether it names the branch explicitly or only the wider organisation, and whether the source itself is clear.
Remove unrelated personal information from anything you choose to share. The reviewer needs evidence of the changed field, not an unredacted patient history, home entry code or another customer's identity.
04Read the submission result
Complete the correction form's required fields and read its response. When receipt is confirmed, keep the reference number shown; if an error appears, do not assume the request reached the reviewer.
Receipt means the information was submitted for review. It is not automatic publication, provider certification, a veterinary answer, a booking or a promise that an email has been sent.
05Keep the reference and the evidence
Retain the submitted wording, source and displayed reference for a later enquiry through the current contact route. If you obtain better evidence, identify the earlier request rather than sending an unexplained duplicate.
Do not publish private correspondence just to make the request appear stronger. The purpose is to improve a specific public fact while preserving a clear distinction between your evidence, editorial review and any eventual update.
Questions to take with you
Questions worth asking
- Which exact field should change, and what source supports it?
- Did the form confirm receipt and display a reference?
Your working note
- Profile/branch __; current field __; proposed value or unknown __.
- Public source/date __; context __; received reference __; private data removed __.
This is practical preparation, not veterinary, legal or travel clearance. Confirm individual care with the appropriate professional and current terms with the actual provider.
